About
Michelle Camp is a dedicated firearms instructor with a passion for empowering women through shooting, decision making, situational awareness, and self-defense training. Since launching her Armed Women of America chapter in January 2014, she has become a leading figure in Utah’s shooting community, spearheading training initiatives through both On Point Defense Training and Armed Women of America.
Growing up with a love for shooting, Michelle transformed her early passion into a career focused on education and mentorship. She holds multiple instructor certifications—including NRA, USCCA, and completion of the Gunsite Academy AWA Instructor Course—and plays a key role as a USCCA Training Counselor, where she mentors new instructors and ensures high-quality, responsible firearms training.
Michelle’s work with www.onpointdefensetraining.com emphasizes advanced shooting techniques and personal defense skills, while her leadership with Armed Women of America underscores her commitment to fostering a supportive and knowledgeable community for women shooters. Whether she’s training a new class or developing leadership programs, Michelle is driven by a mission to enhance confidence, competence, and safety at the range.
When she’s not on the shooting range or collaborating with fellow 2A advocates, Michelle leverages decades of professional experience to build strong community ties and innovative training programs. Residing in West Jordan, Utah, with her husband Toby, she continues to champion the Second Amendment and invest in the future of firearms education.
